Zapotitlan de Mendez

Highlight

Located in the hearth of the Sierra, on the scenic “transerrana” road north it is located this remote village, surrounded by coffee plantations and waterfalls, as Cruz de Agua. Its population is mainly totonaca; and in their parties the huapango sounds and traditional dances are performed. In the center stands the Church of the Nativity of the Virgin Mary, but its main attraction are the Karmidas caves for its spectacular beauty.

BOUNDS

To the North with Hueytlalpan e Ixtepec, on the east to Zoquiapan, on the south to Huitzilan de Serdan and on the west with Zongozotla, Camocuautla and Tepango de Rodriguez.
